I was TL for the day. Alice and I had to raft together as there were not enough clients. We did the seal launch jump and had safety as the river was flowing fast and we didn't want anyone getting sweep away.

I was TL again. This felt more like a commercial trip as it was a mixed group and we all felt like we connected with the clients well.

Half of the clients did not show up so we had a really small group. I did the safety talk which went well but just needed to slow my talking down a bit.

It was our biggest trip of the week and the best. I did the safety talk again which went better. All of us were hitting things well so that the clients had a fun time even if it was only grade 2.

First day at Wild Earth Adventures. Learnt the ropes and got my first look at the river and guided clients.

First day on grade 3 section. I guided the grade 2 and Steve guided the grade 3.

First time doing this section. Mostly flat water and is heavily effected by the tide. Just played games with the kids as we went along and did a rock jump as well.

Biggest group I had worked with so far. It was quite a hectic day trying to jet boat them all up and get them finished in time. I had the teacher guided raft behind me so I was showing him the lines and providing cover for him. Did pretty well although the first time the kids were quite loud and he couldn't hear me that well so after that I always got the crews to be silent while I was giving instructions.

We ran a river safety course for the group. We taught them about swimming in the river and the different hazards. The next day we went rafting and applied some of the stuff they had learnt.
